    Introduction:
    New Stack Defence developed in 2005 was inspired by New Sunken Defence released in late 2003. It was almost exactly the same but sunkens were replaced by Pylons & Photon Cannons and a lights-on/lights-off switch was added.


    Gameplay:
    New Stack Defence revolved around 6 players spawning on 6 seperate islands 4 of which would be main defended and the remaining 2 would be backup or support defence. Enemies would spawn periodically once per level in large packs from 4 corners. Players could buy almost every attacking unit in the game in order to defend but start off by using Photon Cannons as their main defence. Players would need to reach and defeat the last level to win.


    Reception:
    The map was recieved considerably well, it was quite obvious it was a direct copy of the original New Sunken Defence but with a different defence mechanism but dispite that players liked the stacking mechanism more and was considered a success.


    Conclusion:
    Although the concept was not original and the stacking system was old and used it was a perfect introduction at the time and lead to map being a hit for its time. Sometimes the smallest changes can lead to the best results.
